What the Role Entails The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and will maintain the books and records of our funds and management advisor entities. This person will also review the accounting close for our investment properties to ensure accurate asset-level reporting. What You Will Do Maintain accounting records for fund entities and management companies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal controls Record and track contributions, distributions, expenses, and inter-company transactions across multiple fund structures Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of financial statements Review property accounting and asset-level financials to ensure accurate reporting and alignment with fund objectives Collaborate with third-party administrators, property managers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information Participate in audits and regulatory filings as needed Review invoices and support accounts payable processes Contribute to ongoing process improvements and special projects as assigned Remain flexible and proactive in addressing new tasks and responsibilities as the company grows and evolves Requirements What You Bring to the Role Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Qualified CPA (with consideration of CPA candidates on a case-by-case basis) 3+ years of experience in public/corporate accounting, REIT, real estate, or a private equity fund Strong knowledge of US GAAP Must be highly process-oriented and have experience with organizational control environments Strong business acumen with the ability to solve problems using analysis, technical and organizational expertise Exceptional attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and a strong sense of urgency Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams Technical Skills Proficiency in Yardi or another major ERP/GL system Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word What We Offer Cloud Capital’s people and culture are the most enriching aspects that make us a great place to work.
