Description

JOB SUMMARY

As the Senior Accountant, you will serve as a key financial leader across multiple cost centers—covering operations, warehouse, technical/management services, and a pass-through buy-sell model—ensuring accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and robust cost controls. Reporting directly to a Vice President and partnering with the Head of Regional Finance, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide strategic decisions. You will also lead a small finance team, maintain strong internal controls, and collaborate cross-functionally to support sustainable growth and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or automotive.
· Strong ERP proficiency (SAP highly preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
· Proven track record in budget management, variance analysis, and handling multiple cost centers.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting
· Manage month-end close and financial statements for designated cost centers.
· Conduct root-cause variance analysis to identify drivers and recommend corrective actions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
· Lead annual budget development and rolling forecasts with cross-functional teams.
· Provide scenario modeling and regular financial updates to inform strategic decisions.
Cost Control & Process Improvement
· Oversee cost-saving initiatives; develop and refine SOPs to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
· Collaborate with operations to manage inventory, address obsolescence, and mitigate financial risks.
Working Capital & Cash Flow Management
· Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow to align with operational needs.
· Identify slow-moving AR issues; propose solutions to maintain healthy working capital.
Internal Controls & Compliance
· Implement and uphold a robust internal control framework to safeguard assets and data integrity.
· Coordinate internal reviews, address findings promptly, and stay current with relevant accounting standards.
· Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
Leadership & Collaboration
· Supervise and mentor an Assistant Controller and Bookkeeper, setting clear goals for professional growth.
· Collaborate with external partners (bankers, legal counsel, accounting firms) and present financial insights to senior leadership.
· Support or lead special projects—such as system upgrades or process improvements—that drive operational excellence.
