A U.S.-based real estate investment firm, is hiring a Senior Accountant (CPA) to work with the U.S. CFO to help support the finance function with precision, independence, and deep expertise. This is a fully remote role based in the Philippines, working U.S. PST hours or significant overlap, with a high degree of autonomy. Candidates must have deep knowledge of accounting principles and a willingness to learn real estate accounting. Remote (Philippines-based) | Full-time (40 hours/week) | U.S. PST hours or significant overlap About you You are a licensed CPA with deep experience in both accounting, financial management and bookkeeping. You’ve likely worked with U.S. clients, ideally for a Big 4 firm, and graduated from a top University. You have a sharp analytical mindset and thrive in autonomous, multi-entity environments. Responsibilities Code transactions in QuickBooks and reimbursements in Ramp Work with the U.S. CFO and external firms to lead monthly close processes across 20+ real estate entities (P&L, balance sheet, general ledger, reconciliations) Review monthly property-level financial reports and flag variances, misclassifications, or compliance risks to property management firm and external CPAs Work with the U.S. CFO and external firms to prepare and oversee quarterly investor distributions, including calculations, cash flow analysis, and distribution letters Liaise between U.S.-based CPAs during tax season and compile K-1 and 1099 support documentation Monitor compliance with debt covenants (DSCR, LTV), lender reporting, and federal/state filing requirements Review and approve major expenses, ensuring proper classification (OpEx vs. CapEx) in line with GAAP Maintain financial controls and support audit readiness across entities Support GAAP-compliant month-end close (journal entries, accruals, prepaids, COGS) Active CPA license (U.S. or Philippines) 4+ years of U.S. accounting, tax and/or audit experience (U.S. firm required) Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting standards (capitalization, depreciation, etc.) Bookkeeping experience (QuickBooks Online preferred) Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (modeling, vlookups, pivots, etc.) Experience working with U.S. and multinational clients (ideally real estate) Excellent written English proficiency (at least C1+) Bachelor's degree in Accounting (ideally with honors) from a top Philippines or U.S. University Preferred You have Big 4 Accounting experience You are Certified in QuickBooks Online You’ve been a Financial Controller before You’ve managed financial operations for a fund-based real estate structure Work From Home Training & Development
