Location: Saskatoon
Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting the financial close process, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of general ledger accounts. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with the Controller on month-end tasks and play a key role in cost reporting, margin analysis, and daily accounting operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

As the Senior Accountant, you will have:

  • CPA designation (or working towards designation).
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, and cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), Vena, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Confidence, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Adaptability and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities

As the Senior Accountant you will:

  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and detailed reconciliations to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Oversee aspects of the month-end close process, including GST/PST filings, reconciliations, and bridge file maintenance.
  • Update and validate cost of goods sold (COGS) to support accurate margin analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with AR and AP teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, warranty provisions, and continuity schedules in Vena.
  • Provide management reporting and support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities
