We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in accounting and finance, with 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in project-based industries, preferably in construction or engineering.

REQUIREMENTS:

6 to 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a project-based industry (construction, engineering, etc.).Strong command of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or ERP systems).Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously. High attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and payroll.
  • Manage project-based financial reporting, including budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all financial records comply with company policies and local regulations (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements to senior management.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely documentation.
  • Liaise with project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate project costing and financial planning.
  • Forecast cash flow positions and ensure sufficient funds are available for operational requirements.
  • Manage fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
  • Supervise junior accountants and provide training/support when necessary.
