THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Project Controller to join our Milan office. You will be part of a small finance team in Italy and a larger global finance organization. This dual structure means that some of your tasks will be more operational, but there will also be opportunities for learning and growth.
We are currently developing our international finance organization. Over the coming year, we are looking to expand and enhance our team. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues from different countries to improve our finance operations. Our goal is for you to become a business partner within the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring profitability, costs, and financial and operational KPIs
• Supporting the preparation of reporting at Group level and data analysis at the level of the various Units.
• Monitoring project progress, cash flow and performance and ensuring cash flow and working capital optimisation
• Ensuring a correct, timely and complete registration of the project in the system
• Identifying, monitoring project risks (including foreign exchange risks) and determining financial impact / risk provision
• Managing all activities related to the management of the passive, active and general accounting cycle of the Italian office, ensuring compliance with company regulations and procedures.
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements, ensuring the correct recording of accounting transactions.
• Managing local taxes, income tax, VAT, and withholding tax

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• Degree in Economics or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in multinational service companies organised on a project basis.
• Thorough knowledge of general accounting and Italian and international tax regulations
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and the main accounting software (knowledge of Mago - Zucchetti management software will be a preferential requirement).
• Excellent knowledge of the English language.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proactivity and aptitude for problem solving.
