We are currently seeking a positive, energetic and dedicated individual to fill the Senior Accountant role. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, conscientious, and trustworthy while reporting to the General Manager.
In order to be successful in this position, this individual must also work well under pressure and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
2. Preparing financial statements, supporting schedules and reconciliations
3. Payroll
4. Oversee and provide support to the accounting functions
5. Prepare for audits
6. Government reporting
7. Prepare financial analysis
Qualifications:
1. 3 years full cycle accounting experience
2. Proficient in MS Office
3. Strong understanding of business functions
4. Excellent communication and analytical skills
5. Leadership skills
6. Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics GP is considered an asset
7. CPA designation or significant progress toward this would be an asset
