Description Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Tampa, Florida FLSA Status: Salary, Full-Time Compensation: Competitive Salary, Health Benefits, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, and compliance with accounting standards. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments in a fast-paced construction environment. This role will include supporting the accounting department with daily tasks such as bookkeeping, data entry, collecting receipts from employees, preparing invoices, communicating with vendors and customers by answering inquiries related to billing and requesting payments. The position will require that you work well independently and maintain a steady flow of your workday. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate with others offsite daily. The Senior Accountant must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: Participate in the month-end and year-end close process Prepare and self-review journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial reports Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity Collaborate with accounting teams to report financial data Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable Review vendor invoices and input into financial system for payment Prepare and process customer invoices Review and post daily financial transactions into accounting software, including receipts and payment Collecting and tracking receipts from employees Reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions Assist with audits and tax filings as needed Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred) 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or real estate industry Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks (experience with NetSuite preferred) Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency What We Offer: Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching contribution etc.) Paid Vacation and 10 paid Holidays Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive team environment Family oriented company All applicants who are offered employment with Dynetek Solutions, a subsidiary of Thayer Infrastructure Services, will be subject to a background investigation and drug test.
