Description Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is an experienced accounting professional who will manage critical financial operations in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, excellent client service skills, and the ability to drive process improvements. Financial Compliance & Audit Participate in annual audits and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Actively participate in monthly close cycle including reconciling assigned balance Sheet accounts. File Sales Tax reports and claims in a timely manner. Prepare and review financial and investment reports for management, Board, and committee presentations, and clients. Budgeting & Analysis Participate in budgeting and forecasting efforts. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making. Monitor financial performance across multiple business units, cost centers, and funds. Process Improvement & Projects Develop and enhance workflow processes to improve efficiency and security in financial activities. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and resolve procedural issues. Lead or contribute to special projects focused on efficiency and cost savings. Systems & Database Management Crosstrain on core financial systems and develop specialized expertise. Support system depth and agility for E4E Relief business operations. Take all required training courses in a timely manner. Client Relations & Fund Management Deliver exceptional client service to E4E clients, proactively anticipating reporting needs and financial requests. Coordinate fund management processes including fund openings/closings, gift acceptance, acknowledgements, and receipts. Resolve client issues efficiently with a strong sense of urgency. Other duties: Maintain confidentiality of all company records. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Proven experience in multi-entity or fund accounting environments Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Dependable, accurate, and conscientious with a strong sense of team effectiveness. Intellectual curiosity and a drive for personal growth. Preferred: CPA certification Public accounting experience Track record of successfully improving business processes and gaining stakeholder buy-in Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.? Minimum two years of related accounting experience required. Experience with accounts payable processes and financial record management required. Knowledge of tax preparation and compliance procedures preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for up to 8 hours per day.? Ability to use keyboard, mouse, and monitor for extended periods with good visual acuity.? Capacity to lift and carry computer equipment up to 25 pounds occasionally.? Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.? Internal client-facing interactions and collaborations both virtual and in-person. Work Environment: Business casual office environment with height-adjustable computer workstation and standard office equipment?? Access to collaboration spaces, wellness spaces, and an amenity floor.? Hybrid schedule- Monday and Fridays are remote; we are in the office Tuesday- Thursday.?
