QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field (or comparable education).
Professional Certification: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification.
Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational or tech-focused organization.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

Proficiency in Irish GAAP and knowledge of IFRS (preferred but not required).
Strong understanding of Irish tax regulations, including R&D tax benefits.
Knowledge of tax benefits related to intellectual property (IP) is a plus.
Experience with intercompany accounting.
Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities:

Prepare and oversee monthly and annual financial statements (under both IFRS and Irish GAAP).
Manage and supervise accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
Monitor and ensure compliance with tax and legal regulations, including VAT, R&D tax benefits, and other applicable incentives.
Coordinate and support annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
Prepare advance VAT returns and other statistical reports as required.
Assist in optimizing financial accounting processes and implementing best practices.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions.
Act as the primary point of contact for local auditors, tax authorities, and government agencies.
