Role Overview We are looking for a highly capable Senior Accountant to oversee end to end accounting operations and play a key role in building our financial infrastructure from the ground up from zero to one. This role goes beyond routine accounting , you will design financial systems, strengthen internal controls, and support the upgrade and integration of accounting and inventory platforms. Key Responsibilities 1) Daily Accounting & Compliance Handle full sets of accounts, bookkeeping, and daily accounting tasks. Manage and submit monthly tax filings for the Malaysian entity. 2) Financial Reporting Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and related reports. Assist in financial analysis and support reporting needs requested by management. 3) Financial System & Internal Control Development Establish and enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies for a newly established entity. Lead system improvements such as upgrading Gimbla to Xero and integrating accounting with inventory systems/ERP. 4) Inventory & Expense Management Create and maintain inventory lists, conduct monthly inventory counts, and prepare inventory valuation reports. Verify and approve daily operating expenses and staff reimbursements. 5) Financial Process Optimization Identify issues in current financial workflows and propose, develop, and implement practical solutions. Support the Finance Manager in continuous process improvement and data infrastructure building. Must-Have Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting firms or bookkeeping agencies. Minimum 2 years’ experience in corporate finance/accounting. Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese (written & verbal). Proficient with any online/cloud accounting software. Advantageous Experience building financial systems and internal control processes from scratch. Familiarity with Xero or Gimbla accounting systems. Exposure to inventory accounting or ERP system integrations.
