Global Impact – Senior Accountant – Finance and Business Services– Washington, D.C. location
As a Senior Accountant, you’re primarily responsible for collecting, reconciling, and summarizing accounting information, entering data into different accounting software, and generating financial reports for international and grant recipient clients.

Responsibilities

  • Month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Annual budgets and ad hoc reports
  • Reviewing, approving, and monitoring accounts payable and receivables
  • Vendor management, including due diligence and contracting
  • Tracking restricted funder grants including monthly BvA reports
  • Serving as main point of contact for multiple client financial needs: project management support, vendor and sub-grantee contracts, reporting, auditing, preparing 990 and related tax forms
  • Collecting & processing physical checks that arrive to the D.C office
  • Operational needs: liaising with internal departments such as IT and HR/Payroll.

Qualifying for this role means you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration and 4+ years of accounting experience in Public Accounting and Non-Profit Accounting. A CPA or CPA candidate is desirable. Proficient in the use of Excel, Office 365, QuickBooks Online and/or NetSuite, Bill.com, and banking platforms. Hands-on experience with client relations, grant management and tracking, as well as international non-profit organizations, is preferred.

Working at Global Impact
This is a full-time position and requires at least 1 day in the office, with additional time in Washington, D.C. headquarters for team meetings on occasion. Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in our Washington, D.C. headquarters office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $80,000 - $85,000, depending on the experience you bring. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
