Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

• Responsible for the correct and timely execution of key responsibilities in the Local Finance area of Corporate Accounting according to the requirements of HGB, IFRS and the Group Finance Manual.
• Supports organizational effectiveness through the identification and implementation of process improvements

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a partner with the business with regards to Accounting topics and determine the correct Accounting treatments of complex transactions
• Execution of month-end closing Accounting and Reporting tasks under HGB and IFRS
• Advise project teams on areas relating to system implementations and developments
• Ensure clear and complete set of procedures / process documentation within own area of responsibility to support the department targets
• Provide support for year-end, tax or interim audits

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Qualified Bilanzbuchhalter/-in with experience of HGB and IFRS
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of SAP FI and AA are preferred
• Experience of Fixed Asset accounting is preferred
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and analyse complex situations and calculations

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• Accounting Education with further education as accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter/-in)
• Experience with MS Office
• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Accounting
