    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations under the guidance of our Controller, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant practical experience. Professional designation definitely an asset.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role with a strong grasp of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with ERP system use and advanced Excel skills. Experience with SAP Business One an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, budgeting, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English and French (as we service customers across North America).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou expérience pratique équivalente. Une désignation professionnelle est un atout certain
  • Expérience avérée en tant que comptable principal ou poste similaire, avec une solide maîtrise des principes comptables
  • Maîtrise des systèmes ERP et compétences avancées en Excel. Une expérience avec SAP Business One est un atout
  • Solide connaissance du rapprochement de comptes, de la budgétisation, de la paie, des comptes clients et des comptes fournisseurs
  • Excellentes compétences analytiques avec une attention particulière aux détails et à l’exactitude des rapports financiers
  • Solides compétences organisationnelles avec capacité à gérer efficacement plusieurs tâches dans des délais serrés
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication pour collaborer avec les membres de l’équipe et les parties prenantes
  • Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français (puisque nous desservons des clients partout en Amérique du Nord).
Responsibilities
  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable staff to maintain cash flow and financial integrity.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and review with our Controller for presentation to our VP Finance.
  • Utilize our SAP Business One ERP system.
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or trends that may impact the organization’s financial health.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing financial practices.
