ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

The role is office based working in our Head Office in Uxbridge.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis for a period of six months. The contract will commence in October and conclude in March 2026. There may be potential for extension or renewal, subject to business needs and performance. This span is aligned with a pivotal phase in the company’s financial operations: the implementation of a new accounting system. The chosen applicant will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth transition to this new system while upholding the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for the group and its subsidiaries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The temporary senior finance professional will take on a suite of important duties, each contributing to the robust financial governance of London Square during this period of system change and intensive reporting. Responsibilities include;

  • Rolling Forward Year Accounts: Update and prepare group and subsidiary accounts using Excel and Word, ensuring readiness for the inclusion of December 2025 results. This process is foundational for the statutory reporting cycle and will require careful attention to detail and consistency across entities.
  • Accounting Policy Review: Evaluate and check the currency, accuracy, and relevance of accounting policies, reflecting the latest activities and developments within the company. This ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and supports best practice in financial management.
  • Auditor Liaison: Interface with external auditors to coordinate the provision of sample documentation for both the interim and final audits. Effective communication and timely response are crucial, as the interim audit begins in October 2025 and the final audit in early January 2026.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Assist in the review of balance sheet reconciliations before they are submitted to auditors, supporting the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Year-End Audit Analyses: Prepare comprehensive analyses for the year-end audit, facilitating a thorough and efficient audit process and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Account Analysis and Data Cleansing: Conduct reviews and analyses of profit and loss and balance sheet accounts, specifically to support the data cleansing process necessary for migration to the new accounting system. This critical activity will help safeguard the integrity of financial data throughout the transition.
