Our partner is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their financial reporting team in Buffalo. In this role, you will support the preparation and review of the monthly accounting close process at the parent level, ensure compliance with contractual reporting requirements, and assist with the annual external audit. • Collaborate with financial reporting, business units, and subsidiary management in preparing and reviewing monthly financial results and annual financial statements.
• Execute accounting policies, financial reporting standards, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial system controls.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
• Coordinate annual planning and projection activities, review year-over-year changes, and identify opportunities to improve operating margins.
• Research accounting guidance to determine appropriate treatment for new or unique transactions.
