REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-Starter
  • BA – Accounting, (Working towards a CPA or CMA preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
  • YARDI experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Familiar with online platforms (Asana, Outlook, Microsoft Teams…)
  • Analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organization & Critical thinking skills.
  • Willingness and proficiency to do research of historical financial transactions and legals issues.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to tolerate prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at desk in assigned location.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard and tolerate prolonged periods performing work using a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Responsibilities

This position will play a crucial role in the Fund Accounting with responsibilities that include:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement closes within specified deadlines with little oversight.
  • Ensure accurate timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and partner statements.
  • Prepare financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other standards, where applicable, as they relate to investment companies, principles of consolidation and fair value measurement.
  • Work with Managing Directors, asset managers, analysts and other internal/external users to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Interpret fund and investor governing documents to ensure proper application of terms for investor allocations, management fees and carried interest.
  • Ability to work independently and research technical accounting transactions.
  • Assist the Team Lead in carrying out the Fair Value Reporting process.
  • Help maintain policies and procedures related to Fair Value Reporting, Equity Transaction, Taxes, Audit etc…
  • Drive continual process improvement through technology use and implementation.
  • Follow PEG policies and procedures and comply with state and federal laws.
