Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented, TEAM player with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. The Senior Accountant should exercise independent judgment to critically evaluate processes and provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.

Essential Duties

• Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations/analyses as assigned; post journal entries
• Complete close activities within prescribed deadlines
• Collaborate with business partners to ensure business acumen for assigned areas is developed and considered within the monthly analyses
• Approach assigned work with intellectual curiosity and exercise professional judgement where escalations are needed
• Prepare quarterly fluctuation analysis for assigned accounts
• Support tax and audit requests in a timely manner
• Prepare budget support for assigned accounts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting
• Support testing activities related to existing software enhancements and new software implementations
• Create/modify process documentation as appropriate
• Support Accounting Manager and Finance leadership with ad-hoc requests

Under This Roof We Require

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance field Required
• 5+ years of experience within an Accounting or Finance environment required.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
• Advanced Analytical and statistical skills required
• This position is based in our Parsippany, NJ corporate headquarters which currently operates on a hybrid in-office schedule. Though employees are welcome to work in our office on Friday, this position must be performed in-office on Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely from the employee’s home office on Friday.

• Understands and prioritizes deadlines. Manages time effectively and understands deadlines with little to no supervision. Manages time to optimize productivity and ensures that work is done on time reliably and accurately.
• Takes ownership for problem solving and project management. Takes lead on process and system improvements and presents.

Travel Requirements: May require occasional travel in connection to job duties as it relates to conferences, site visits, professional development or learning opportunities, etc. in which advance notice of travel expectations/events will be provided.
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000
