Our corporate Accounting & Finance function is a central hub of excellence, comprised of CPAs and seasoned professionals. We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This critical role is responsible for the integrity of financial reporting in our real estate division. You will be the cornerstone of our monthly close, financial statement preparation, and audit processes, while also managing key accounting operations and contributing to strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who excels in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment, communicates effectively with all levels of the organization, and is eager to contribute to the financial leadership of a mission-driven organization. Key Responsibilities Manage the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process. Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and management reports. Develop, maintain, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance. Maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure and chart of accounts. Perform complex general ledger account reconciliations and analysis. Oversee critical accounting functions. Perform accurate and timely monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Support Accounting Manager and Director of Finance in budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling activities. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA Required. 5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and general ledger accounting. Proficiency with accounting software and a strong command of Microsoft Excel. Unwavering attention to detail, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail. Discretion and integrity when handling confidential financial information.
