Position Overview We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee and support financial technology initiatives within a regulated banking environment. This role is responsible for managing the accounting lifecycle of fintech-related programs, from initial setup through ongoing operations, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls. Key Responsibilities - Manage the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for fintech initiatives, including onboarding new programs and maintaining support for established partnerships. - Design and document accounting workflows for new programs, including funds flow mapping, reconciliation procedures, and financial reporting processes. - Perform high-volume daily reconciliations related to prepaid transactions, payment activity, and related fintech operations. - Prepare and record daily and monthly journal entries, including review of entries prepared by other team members, ensuring compliance with GAAP. - Develop a thorough understanding of each program’s financial structure, system architecture, and operational processes. - Analyze detailed transactional data across multiple systems to identify discrepancies or irregularities; escalate and assist with resolution as needed. - Promote cross-team knowledge sharing to ensure consistent accounting treatment and process accuracy across all fintech programs. Qualifications - 8–10 years of progressive experience in full-cycle accounting. - Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech environments preferred. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. - Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and complex formulas. - Exposure to bank reconciliations, prepaid program accounting, or payment platforms is advantageous. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and the capacity to perform effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative setting. \n \n $85,000 - $110,000 a year \n #GHJSS #LI-CV1
