Description

As a Senior Accountant in Global Finance Operations P2P, you play a key role in managing VAT reporting, statistical filings, and accounting tasks across multiple European entities. You are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submissions of VAT & Intrastat and EC Sales Lists, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and operational efficiency. The role will be reporting to Senior Manager Lirong Schollbach with a dotted line to Manager Global P2P Frederik D. Andersen located in Denmark. Travel activities must be expected app. 25-40 days per year. Key responsibilities: Prepare and submit VAT reports and EC Sales Lists for various European countries Collect and process data from ERP systems (e.g., D365) and logistics tools (e.g., Sciformation) for VAT reporting purposes. Collaborate with Supply Chain and Legal teams to ensure access to necessary systems and documentation. Ensure correct use of VAT numbers and reporting codes in accordance with local regulations. Calculate reverse charge VAT and import VAT, validate documentation, and reconcile VAT accounts. Upload reporting files and documentation to SharePoint in line with internal guidelines. Liaise with local tax authorities and internal teams regarding deadlines, payments, and reconciliations. Act as a superuser in D365 and ExFlow, handling error resolution and process optimization. General accounting support – fixed assets, payment processing, accounting related support to the business. Participate in monthly and quarterly closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations. Relevant accounting education and several years of experience in VAT and accounting within an international context. Excellent verbal communication skills Strong knowledge of ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO). Experience with VAT reporting across multiple EU countries and understanding of Intrastat and EC Sales List requirements. Ability to work independently and systematically with complex data and deadlines. Strong collaboration and communication skills across departments and countries.
