SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant will be in a leadership role to direct the daily operations of core finance, accounting, tax, and payroll transactions. The position has high accountability and responsibility as a functioning leader and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The Senior Accountant is required to promote strong financial controls and reporting systems to ensure the long-term financial success of the Organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Oversee Financial Reporting Operations, including evaluating operational improvements to Gosnold monthly, quarterly and year-end close process. * Direct the analytical framework supporting monthly, quarterly and year end closes to ensure reporting consistency across the disparate units. * Establish strategic direction for reporting enhancements internally and externally for Gosnold’s financial statement reporting. * Manage the external audit relationship to ensure a seamless coordination with the audit firms. * Provide direction and oversight of the organization's tax planning and reporting process, including monitoring compliance of tax statues and final review of tax returns and regulatory compliance. * Enhance AP procure to pay programs and continuous improvement, while managing the daily department tasks. * Maximize revenue cycle within a matrix team to ensure the highest quality care and net revenue. * Oversee the Payroll department to ensure the implementation of all policies and procedures are in collaboration with HR, including developing a service model focused on timely responses to all inquiries and requests. Additionally, ensure that all processes are compliant with regulatory requirements and consistent with documented approvals. * Create an enriching positive work environment for the finance team, building a model of sharing of areas of expertise and industry knowledge to create a culture of cross training and collaboration, while remaining current in each of the respective functional areas. * Maintain strong collaborative working relationships with peers, colleagues and staff across the Organization. * Effective leader, with deep subject matter, hands-on expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance/regulatory, payroll and A/P.    * Leader with developed organizational and analytical skills. * Must be able to make sound business decisions regarding change management, human resources and budgets. * Strong background in planning and analysis, identification of trends and opportunities. * Intellectual curiosity and success in achieving best practices, business process re-engineering, information technology and business planning. * The ability to remain seated for up to eight hours daily and travel to Gosnold locations on a regular basis. * Perform all other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Yes MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.   * Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree and CPA preferred. * Experience: At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience, of which at least five (5) years should be in a position with management responsibility and experience in Healthcare strongly preferred. Experience managing P&L Statements and monthly financial statements. Experience managing monthly budget reporting for a mid-sized organization. * Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: CPA Preferred   * Skills: High level of computer skills, accounting software, and GL experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxes (income, payroll, premium), internal controls complex financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
