Company Description As a Senior Accountant in the Finance and Accounting function, you are responsible for ensuring that the financial operations of the organization are well-managed, compliant and transparent. You have a deep understanding in accounting procedures and compliance that allows you to effectively manage financial complexities, ensuring accurate and efficient accounting processes are in place. This role reports into our Accounting Lead for Mexico and is based out of our Mexico City Support Office. Job Description A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities* Ensure that accounting procedures comply with local statutory requirements Perform month-end closing procedures Responsible for keeping the books correct and updated according to H&M Group rules and local regulations Intercompany transactions and reconciliations Routines for fixed asset bookings and depreciation calculations Prepare statutory reporting and statistics Research and correct any out-of-balance situations between the GL and sub-ledger Analyze, amortize, and reconcile prepaid accounts Prepare assigned journal entries Prepare assigned general ledger reconciliations Review general ledger reconciliations prepared by others Prepare monthly commissions Support and assist audits (both internal and external) Maintain contact with other accounting departments in the HUB and Shared Service Center Manual payments and correct reconciliation in the Banks from Payroll and other areas.
