OVERVIEW:

Hixen Search Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for a privately held service business. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing journal entries, reconciliations, assisting with payroll using ADP, preparation of monthly financial reports, monthly variance analysis and other various accounting duties. The Senior Accountant works closely with the CFO and Controller. He or she will be in a great position for future growth within the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete month-end close work including journal entries and reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly financial reports for leadership
• Assist with payroll processing using ADP
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting for the company as needed
• Assist with other accounting tasks as needed
• Work closely with the business as their financial liaison

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Desired Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 3+ years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience is required
• Strong core accounting skills are a must and a solid understanding of GAAP
• Some experience with payroll processing is a must; ADP experience a plus
• Experience with working in an ERP
• A desire to work in a team and results oriented environment
