    Lark Business Advisory have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their supportive team!
Responsibilities

As Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Achieve a productivity target of 80% average over the financial year
  • Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS for various industries from start to finish
  • Review BAS, financial statements, and income returns prepared by offshore accountants, addressing any queries
  • Communicate with clients regarding annual and ongoing work, resolving any issues that arise
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, including invoicing and maintaining relationships
  • Collaborate with the Taxation & SMSF Manager to ensure accuracy in your work and respond to review points
  • Liaise with team members and offshore accountants daily to ensure seamless operations
  • Handle matters with the ATO and other statutory authorities as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of client trust
  • Document manage client files electronically into Suitefiles
  • Familiarise yourself with and adhere to company policy directives
  • Undertake additional duties as required

To be successful in the role, you will need to:

  • Public Practice Experience is essential
  • Proficient in the preparation of Financial Statements & Income Tax Returns for Companies, Unit Trusts, Family Trusts, Partnerships & Individuals
  • A minimum of 5-years’ experience in Public Practice
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Xero, Suitefiles, Practice Ignition, and Karbon
  • Strong judgement, decision-making capabilities, and initiative
  • Calm and approachable demeanour, with reliability and honesty
  • Active listening skills to effectively understand client needs
  • High standard of personal presentation
