Description
We are looking for a superb, highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. As Hypergiant grows at breakneck speed, you will assist in managing the organization’s Accounting function. This person will be a valued member of our team, providing budget/finance information and analysis to support good decision-making as well as be deeply involved in the accounting applications of emerging business models, such as SaaS. As a Senior Accountant you will be involved with all customer transactional flow accounting needs across varying business units including reconciliation, journal entries, exception monitoring and analysis. Duties & Responsibilities Assists in month-end process by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and performing flux analysis to ensure a timely close. Manages various elements of accounting operations including billing, AR, AP, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Assists in the preparation of supporting documentation necessary for the annual audit and tax preparation process, including acting as a liaison to the external audit team. Supports ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for leadership Assists with technical accounting research Process improvement, memorialization of accounting positions and workflow documentation Enhance, document, and maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, program/department budgets, and actual expenditures to ensure an effective financial system Required Qualifications Mission focused. Netsuite experience would be valuable, though not required Licensed CPA Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. 3+ years of progressive Accounting experience with an increasing amount of responsibility. Big 4 experience preferred Flexibility and ability to adapt to change with ease Ability to work well as a team of one as well as on a team Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication skills Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced work environment Clearance Requirements Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information.
