Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) …

The Senior Accountant ensures accurate and timely payroll processing and financial reporting through oversight and high-level reconciliations, and revenue cycle analytics. This role supports the agency’s financial stability by closely monitoring billing operations and financial compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Biweekly payroll processing and expense reimbursement through the Paylocity system ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and agency policies.
  • Cash management functions; daily banking deposits via remote deposit capture and physically going to the bank. Recording all of the transaction in the GL and scanning insurance reimbursement to the outside billing team.
  • Accounts receivable functions, posting payments
  • Lead the monthly reconciliation process ensuring that all accounts are reconciled in a timely manner for month end closing.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closes.
  • Preparation of deposits for remote deposit capture and the bank.
  • Posting of all incoming ACH transactions and fees.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain subsidiary ledgers.
  • Ensure the integrity of AR aging reports and reimbursement tracking by payer.
  • Track restricted and unrestricted fund use and collaboration with program leads on allowable expenses.
  • Assist in the budget preparation process and financial forecasting.
  • Maintain schedules for balance sheet accounts and assist in monthly close.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Assist with audits by preparing financial schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in financial analysis and variance reporting for management review.
  • Liaison with Philanthropy department on all contribution streams ensuring accurate recording of revenue and expenses
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations staff to support financial reporting needs.
  • Attend training and support cross-functional finance tasks as assigned.
