EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of Accounting experience, with at least 2 years of experience in UAE.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Good level in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Accounting software.
  • Experience with Xero ERP is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in ERP transformation projects – system migration, data cleanup, process optimization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Highly organized, with a sharp attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation
  • Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English & Arabic language skills.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, supporting ERP transformation efforts, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements across all countries of operation. This role involves the preparation of accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, as well as maintaining organized financial records and documentation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in streamlining accounting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous improvement within the finance function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support ERP implementation and transformation initiatives, ensuring smooth integration of systems and processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including tax returns in line with UAE regulations and ensure compliance with internal controls in all countries of operations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets and profit/loss statements, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting workflows.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and internal documentation.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the finance department.
