ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CA or CPA qualified (Preferred but not essential)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Australian public practice.
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and other relevant software.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax laws and accounting standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- A proactive, innovative mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for your work.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Sunshine Coast office in a full-time capacity. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid work arrangements and the opportunity to contribute to a fun, forward-thinking, and tech-savvy team.
You’ll work with a diverse client base across various industries, focusing on delivering exceptional accounting, compliance, and advisory services. In addition to managing your own portfolio, you’ll contribute to our Business Value Gap Analysis and Business Improvement programmes, helping clients establish growth strategies and future plans.
Please note: This is an Australian-based role, and applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including complex business groups, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Preparation and review of financial statements, income tax returns, compliance reports, and forward-looking financial projections.
- Prepare and analyse business valuations to support client growth strategies and decision-making.
- Provide tax planning, compliance, and advisory services tailored to client needs.
- Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow forecasting and business performance evaluations.
- Mentor and support junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Innovate within our advanced tech stack, including Xero, Karbon, Spotlight Reporting, Bstar, ChangeGPS and more.
