Overview We are thrilled to present an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Accountant - Integration Accounting to join our ambitious team at Gallagher This newly created role is based in our Glasgow office and provides the chance to contribute to world-class accounting procedures while ensuring seamless integration of recent acquisitions into our business operations. How you'll make an impact Provide accounting expertise to ensure seamless integration into BAU activities, including reviewing Sale & Purchase agreements, liaising with M&A Integration teams, and coordinating with vendors. Conduct detailed integration analysis, including process mapping and discovery documentation. Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and handover applicable tasks to our offshore team. Strictly ensure SOX requirements are fully met. Aid the Integration Manager in preparing accurate acquisition management accounts along with pertinent commentary within reporting deadlines. Build positive relationships with senior collaborators, including our UK Finance Directors, Senior Finance Managers, and acquisition finance teams, acting as a key contact during month-end close. Prepare and examine balance sheet reconciliations to confirm the accuracy of management accounts. Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date variance analysis comparing budget and prior year results on the P&L. Produce and review other ad hoc reporting on expense items as requested by Business Heads and senior finance staff. Assist in the production of statutory board packs and financial accounts. Provide assistance and support in response to external and internal audit requests. Coordinate with our offshore processing team to manage the posting of month-end journal transactions and balance sheet reconciliations. Work together with Finance Business Partners and other units beyond the General Accounting team to offer assistance for questions as they come up. Develop and sustain connections within the broader General Accounting group and among other regional teams. Produce ad-hoc reports and complete technical tasks as needed. About You Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent). Preferably experienced with UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Outstanding problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Eligible to work in the UK.
