As a senior accountant in our Finance team, you will be responsible for various financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, and analysis. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with recruitment and immigration industry accounting practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

  • Financial Statements: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Month-end Close: Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Budget Variance Analysis: Conduct budget variance analysis and provide explanations for deviations.

Financial Analysis:

  • Financial Performance: Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.
  • Forecasting: Assist in financial forecasting and budgeting processes.

General Accounting:

  • General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Accruals and Prepaid Expenses: Handle accruals, prepaid expenses, and other accounting entries.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

Audit and Compliance:

  • External Audit: Coordinate and assist with the annual external audit process.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Taxation:

  • Tax Compliance: Assist in tax compliance, including preparation and filing of tax returns.

Process Improvement:

  • Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

Team Collaboration:

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and IT, to ensure financial data accuracy.
