The Lewis group has multiple operating entities. The job location is in Royersford, PA. The Senior Accountant will support the monthly close, project accounting, and financial reporting for a project-based services business. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented, with responsibility across general ledger, revenue recognition, project cost tracking, and internal reporting. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of accounting experience, strong ERP exposure (preferably Deltek Vantagepoint), and advanced Excel skills to support analysis, reconciliations, and management reporting. Requirements Position Responsibilities General Ledger & Close Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reclasses Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances Support month-end closing, including closing schedules and deliverables Assist with audit requests and documentation (external auditors, lenders, PE sponsors as applicable) Project Accounting & Revenue Support project setup, maintenance, and closeout within the ERP Review project costs, labor, and billing data for accuracy and completeness Assist with revenue recognition for time & materials and project-based contracts Monitor unbilled revenue, WIP, deferred revenue, and project margins Partner with operations and project managers to resolve billing or cost issues Reporting & Analysis Prepare standard monthly financial reports and supporting schedules Develop and maintain Excel-based analysis for trends, variances, and KPIs Support ad hoc financial analysis for management and leadership Assist with budget vs. actual and forecast reporting Systems & Process Improvement Utilize Deltek Vantagepoint for reporting, reconciliation, and data integrity Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency Support system enhancements, reporting builds, and process documentation Key Competencies Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Clear written and verbal communication skills Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement orientation Comfortable partnering cross-functionally with operations and project teams Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience Experience in a project-based, professional services, or industrial services environment Exposure to revenue recognition for project-based services Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statements Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Logical functions, Power query, Name ranges and structured tables) Experience working within an ERP system, Deltek Vantagepoint preferred Preferred Qualifications Deltek Vantagepoint (or Deltek Vision) experience Public accounting experience a plus CPA would be a plus
