Description JOB SUMMARY The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and clear visibility into the company’s financial position. This role oversees core accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll coordination, while supporting leadership with timely, reliable financial information. The position plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data and ensuring consistent, disciplined processes across accounting operations. MAIN FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and perform the month-end close process within five (5) business days to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and accruals to maintain accuracy and completeness of financial records. Reconcile inventory, work-in-progress (WIP), bank accounts, and key balance sheet accounts to ensure alignment and integrity of financial data. Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including collections, aging, processing, and payments. Coordinate payroll processes to ensure accuracy and proper execution in alignment with company requirements. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all financial data across accounting operations. Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, variances, or financial risks in a timely manner. Support audits and internal reporting requirements by providing accurate documentation and financial insights. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience: 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of general ledger, month-end close processes, and inventory accounting. ERP experience preferred (Infor a plus). Functional Experience: Experience managing or coordinating Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ownership & Accountability: Demonstrates ownership of responsibilities and follows through on tasks and deliverables. Problem-Solving & Communication: Proactive problem solver with clear and effective communication skills. Leadership Capability: Ability to manage both people and processes while supporting team performance and accountability. Collaboration: Communicates effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
