Title and Summary Senior Accountant Senior Accountant Overview: Mastercard Cross Border Services (XBS) One-Hub team was created to establish Mastercard as the front runner in the fast-evolving real-time payments space, and to position Mastercard to be able to incubate the development of these payment flows by scaling. The team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the technology that powers Mastercard’s next generation payment applications – Domestic, Cross Border and Bill Payments. Mastercard seeks to define a world beyond cash. To accelerate this mission, we are committed to building & scaling the products & applications that transform payments of any type. Real-time payment technology is central to this strategy. As the Senior Accountant, Mastercard Transaction Services Controller, this role will support the Cross-border (XBS) automation strategy to ensure that the accounting & reporting is managed in accordance with US GAAP. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the reconciliation and other activities to support the critical XBS project and other Controllership tasks, implementing operational enhancements and controls, and delivering measurable milestones. This role will ensure a strong internal control environment, be familiar with and adhere to all Mastercard policies and processes that mitigate risks for the Company, function, and department. Working arrangements: This role will require the hire to support mid-day working hours. Hybrid working setup with 3 days onsite in Mastercard Transaction Services office located in Pasig. Key Responsibilities • Provide end-to-end support for automation of Finance and Accounting of the XBS product. Areas covered: • Payment reconciliation • Reconciliation of Cash/AR/AP • Review of unreconciled transactions • Exception management • Support the overall execution plan to achieve the controlling milestones for Oracle Migration. • Support the creation of ICA/Bank accounts for customers and Network partners in Oracle and Mastercard Billing systems • Support Static Data Coordination with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure progress. • Support the Reconciliations for customers and network partners • Support the Intercompany Reconciliation to ensure balance accuracy • Support enhancements of internal controls set-up and on-going management • Support the other related accounting and reconciliation activities • Complete testing of project milestones and other duties as needed. Key Skills & Qualifications • Education: Master’s degree in finance, Accounting or any related field with a professional accounting qualification such as an ACCA • Experience: Good experience in finance, accountancy, or a related field. • Prior experience supporting financial systems transformational projects would be highly preferred. • Tools and Systems: Proficiency in any risk management software, Excel, data analysis, and reporting tools. Responsibilities
