Description We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. Job Type: Full-Time (Office) Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7AM – 4:30PM, Friday, 7AM - Noon Key Responsibilities •Assist Financial Controller during month-end close process by ensuring all closing entries are accurately recorded in a timely manner •Inventory management with processing incoming and outgoing equipment •Fixed asset management including depreciation, additions and disposals •Assist Financial Controller and Plant team members with maintaining accurate inventory quantities on hand and valuations •Perform daily bank functions including ACH/wire transfers and monitoring cash flow •Preparation and filing of sales & use tax returns •Preparation and filing of payroll tax returns and subcontractor withholdings •Weekly payroll processing including 401(k) •Processing of vendor credit applications •Assist Financial Controller during annual review/audit process •Lead and champion process improvements and task automation ensuring accounting policies, procedures and controls are maintained in accordance with sound accounting principles, applicable regulations, and best practices •Provide back-up assistance to AP and AR Accountants as needed •Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements •Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting •Minimum of 5 years relevant business experience required (Manufacturing/Construction industry preferred) •CPA/CMA certification or CPA/CMA candidate strongly preferred •AccountMate (or other comparable software) experience required •Advanced Excel skills and proficient with other software applications (Word, PowerPoint) •Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities •Commitment to accuracy and high ethical standards •Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines •Strong organization, oral and written communication skills •Positive, self-starter, willing to roll-up your sleeves and collaborate with other departments.
