Description Position Summary: Ensure all accounting activities are completed accurately and in compliance with GAAP. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and support team members. Identify opportunities for process improvement through technology and promote the effective use of tools to enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the monthly financial close process for assigned clients, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, creating and reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, management & leasing fee calculations and report preparation. Ensure prompt, consistent communication with internal and external clients. Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures. Liaison for establishing and managing bank accounts. Review tenant lease files (as needed). Provide support and leadership for A/R and A/P Specialists. Assist with annual budgets and cash forecast for properties managed. Assist with various projects as needed. Coordinate with the development team and record entries in ERP system Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and via email. Attention to detail and critical thinking. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects. Must be deadline driven. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Must be diligent and proactive. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university; and three-five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with MRI and AvidXchange preferred. Experience in Real Estate industry preferred. Experience with investment fund accounting and PE transactions is a plus. Must be able to successfully pass a background, credit and drug screen.
