Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insightful analysis of variances.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Mentor and guide junior accountants, offering support and training as necessary.
- Prepare Estimates and invoices for customers
- Manage and oversee journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Handle special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as requested by senior management.
- Other duties as required by the senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a minimum requirement (CPA is an asset)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, and other accounting software
- Strong understanding of financial services and corporate finance principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
