REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Broad range of experience in general accounting duties; including journal entries, general ledger, account reconciliations, and monthly close process
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, inquisitive, and problem-solving mentality
  • Strong communications and relational skills to work with multiple people throughout the organization
Responsibilities
  • Complete, analyze, and reconcile general accounting reports, ledgers, journals, and schedules
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Support equipment sales finance management
  • Prepare commission reporting including entry of commission data and maintaining commission spreadsheets
  • Process hourly and salaried payroll and support related functions including union reports, benefit billing reconciliation and GL posting
  • Manage fixed assets within the company
  • Own work order capitalization process with accounting manager
  • Calculate rental conversions for branch and territory managers for use in the sales process
  • Assist with monthly close process for accounting system, including journal entries and account reconciliations, and prepare monthly reporting package for ownership and branch managers
  • Coordinate financial and accounting software used by the company (IntelliDealer); initiate new processes and reports where necessary to streamline functions or expedite current reporting of data to project managers or leadership
  • Manage State and Federal filings on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis (Sales and Use Tax, Annual Reports)
  • Prepare audit workpapers and work with Controller in support of annual audit from outside accounting firm
  • Assist with Employee Retirement Plan between the company and external party
  • Additional responsibilities may occur as they arise within the accounting department.
