Job Description Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income. statements in accordance with accounting standards. Prepare work paper for monthly Group Tax calculation (and other components) and completion of notes on Boardpack. Ensure compliance with Australian accounting and tax regulations, including indirect taxes, FBT, fuel tax rebate scheme. Provide actionable recommendations to Senior Leadership on tax matters. Collaborate with Headquarters and external tax advisors on various tax topics. Manage employee disbursement process and maintain reporting system (SAP Concur) Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts (P/L and CAPEX) Complete half-year review and EoFY audit (tax focus). Liaise with ATO and other government organizations as necessary i.e. ASIC, OSR. Maintain CargoWise One GL, charge code and compliance reporting. Support wide range of project initiatives. Other duties as required. Qualifications CA/CPA qualified. Minimum 5 years working experience in corporate accounting team, ideally trained in public practice firm or worked for MNC with exposure of wide range of international tax and cross-border transactions experience Strong understanding of AASB, Tax Acts and legislation. Advanced knowledge of indirect taxes and compliance reporting i.e. GST, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements, PTRS, WHT, fuel tax rebate etc. Knowledge of logistics/freight forwarding is desired but not essential. People management skills, including the collaboration and communication skills. Planning and organising skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and performing high level analysis of financial data. System experience such as Power BI, OneStream, CargoWise, SAP Concur.
