Responsibilities

Our Geelong office has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a close-knit, high-performing team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns, supporting clients with complex tax matters, and guiding junior team members through their development.
We offer clearly defined and supportive career pathways that will help you achieve your professional goals, with ample opportunities to build both technical expertise and leadership capability.

As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with the client manager to manage a portfolio across a diverse range of industries
  • Apply your technical knowledge to prepare complex special purpose reports, financial statements, tax returns, and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, and trusts
  • Prepare monthly management reports, cash flow statements, and clear, logical working papers
  • Develop and manage client budgets and forecasts
  • Assist with consulting work, including the provision of tailored tax advice
  • Review and provide quality feedback on junior team members’ work, supporting their growth through coaching and delegation

Our ideal new team member has:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent degree
  • Completed CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting, ideally within public practice
  • Experience working with medium to large businesses and multi-entity structures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivation to grow professionally and contribute to team development
  • A genuine interest in mentoring and upskilling junior team members
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues
