Description

NanoMosaic Inc., located in Waltham, Massachusetts, is focused on developing innovative photonics technology for biomedical discovery, Dx, CDx, and drug development. Our cutting-edge technology will enable new frontiers of medical research for ultrahigh-sensitivity detection of single molecules in low volume liquid biopsy samples.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong desire to bring a disruptive technology to market, playing a key role in a multidisciplinary team.
NanoMosaic is searching for a Senior Accountant to support business operations, financial reporting, compliance, and policy management.

Responsibilities:

  • Take part in forecasting and financial standards setting processes.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable.
  • Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
  • Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce costs and maximize profit.
  • Participate directly in external audits.
  • Maintain account balances and bank statements.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger analysis in accordance with GAAP.
  • Inventory Reconciliation and accounting
  • Assist with month end and year end close processes.

Requirements:

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Inventory accounting experience is a must.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of experience with steady progression of responsibility
