Job Description Job Summary The role maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts and supports the monthly accounting close. The incumbent plays an integral role in establishing and implementing financial processes. What Would You Do? The Specifics. Completes assigned month-end closing procedures in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as required. Implements systems or processes to eliminate variances between subsidiary systems and the GL control accounts. Prepares journal entries with sufficient support and in compliance with GAAP. Prepares schedules and supports the annual audit and quarterly reviews, including the ability to critically review internal and external auditor requests and provide documented support in a timely manner. Works with multiple systems and ensures data is transferred correctly to the GL. Perform and substantiate balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with company standards. Build cross-functional relationships to obtain data used to record accruals and other journal entries. Performs account analysis and explains variances when interacting with the finance team to support cost center level reporting. Assess current processes, and implement best practices and process improvements. Review and perform monthly SOX controls, including providing sufficient support and detailed documentation for all work performed. Qualifications Work Experience 6+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required) Education Four-year college degree or equivalent experience. resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, such as accounting, marketing, business administration, agriculture, etc. (Required) Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations CPA or CMA (Preferred) Additional Information Taking Care of our People!
