Description

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day AP and AR functions including invoicing, vendor management, and collections.
  • Process month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper cost coding and financial tracking of construction projects.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
  • Collaborate with project managers and leadership to ensure accurate financial performance tracking.
  • Support audits and provide required documentation to external auditors.
  • Consolidate financials and prepare supplemental reporting packages.
  • Reconcile and monitor intercompany, and accrual accounts.
  • Manage account reconciliation by ensuring accurate loading of monthly trial balances.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors and work with stakeholders to ensure timely fulfillment of auditors’ data requests.
  • Conduct variance analysis/commentary on financial statements and financial presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies.
  • Other assignments/responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the inventory, retail, procurement process.
  • Proficiency in accounting software NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
