Description Novaspect, Inc, an Emerson Local Business Partner, the global leader of process systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our fast paced, customer orientated team in our Schaumburg, IL location. The successful candidate will assist the Finance department with the financial recording, reconciliation and reporting of Novaspect operations as assigned. Senior Accountant Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries Prepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare reports and present findings for business unit review detailing monthly revenue, gross margin, and expenses by cost center Analyze and ensure company financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP Assure and maintain proper internal controls File monthly state sales and use tax returns Support month end, quarter end and year end closing activities which include some duties outside of main focus area Consolidation, intercompany transactions and reconciliations Assist in Audit activities Assist Financial Analyst in monthly forecasting activities by analyzing trends and budget attainment Manage Fixed Assets and capital purchases Provide day-to-day support to operations as needed Ad-hoc analysis and any other duties as assigned Requirements Senior Accountant Level Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 4-10 years of experience preferred High proficiency in Microsoft Excel High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite Industrial or manufacturing experience preferred CPA a plus IFS business system familiarity a plus Senior Accountant Additional Requirements: Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication skills and ability to maintain high level of customer service and tact Professional appearance and excellent analytical, oral and written skills Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and be resourceful Ability to manage time well and handle multiple priorities maintaining a positive attitude and composure; meets commitments and responds to requests for service and assistance Proven ability to build and support teamwork; exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views; contribute to building a positive team spirit Senior Accountant Physical Requirements: Ability to work extended hours on a computer Senior Accountant Pay: Salary Range: $85,000 - 105,000 Potential Bonus: 5% Senior Accountant Benefits: Recognized with a Top Employee Benefit Plan Award, below you will find our outstanding total rewards package when you join our team including: Generous paid time off; starting at 15 vacation days, 10 holidays, and 10 days of Personal, Sick, & Safety Time (PSST) 401K with 6% company match Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Excellent health & wellness benefits Student debt & tuition reimbursement Referral bonus Senior Accountant Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm, or 8:00am - 5:00pm Senior Accountant Location: Schaumburg, IL Who We Are: Novaspect, Inc., is an employee-owned company that engineers, sells, and services industrial process controls.
