Description

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the company’s financial health by overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, supporting audits and compliance, and providing financial insights to guide business decisions. This role combines technical expertise with collaboration across departments, while continuously improving processes and upholding Office Revolution’s standards and values.

  • Month-end and year-end closing: Facilitating the accurate and timely closure of accounting periods and preparing for year-end audits
  • Managing the general ledger and reconciling accounts: Ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions and balances, inclusive of bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements: Generating timely and accurate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow management and commission statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts and monitoring actuals against budgets.
  • Financial analysis and insights: Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Cost and Inventory Management Accounting: Performing general cost accounting and working closely with inventory management to accurate tracking and valuation of furniture.
  • Interacting with auditors: Coordinating and assisting with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and information. Examples: 5500 forms, 401K Audit…
  • Tax and GAAP compliance: Assisting with sales tax, tax audits and ensuring that all accounting practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles when relevant.
  • Potential Supervising and mentoring: Providing guidance, training, and support to junior team members, overseeing their work to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with other departments: Working closely with various departments to streamline financial processes and ensure alignment of financial workflows.
  • Improve accounting systems and processes: Develop recommendations to optimize company’s accounting systems and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure data security and confidentiality: Maintain security of sensitive information.
  • Stay updated on accounting and industry trends
  • Represent the Office Revolution and Finance/Accounting Team brand and Core Values
  • Other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems
  • Experience with large ERP platforms
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP’s, and INDEXMATCH
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and process management skills
  • Ability to develop in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a bachelor’s degree with related experience
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
