POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the organization’s accounting operations, with responsibilities across general ledger management, financial reporting, and revenue reconciliation. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data and supports a timely month-end close process. Working closely with both the Controller and Revenue Cycle team, the Senior Accountant contributes to ongoing financial health and process improvement within a growing, mission-driven healthcare organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• In-depth understanding of general accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
• Effective communicator and collaborator with both finance and non-finance teams.
• Familiarity with healthcare fee-for-service and multi-site operations is a plus.
• Proactive and solution-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Organized and self-motivated with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track preferred).
• Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
