About the Role: We are currently searching for a Senior Accountant to join our private equity operations team based in East Brunswick, NJ. This person will primarily be responsible for maintaining and reviewing the books and records of the investment funds and preparing reports for investors and management. Responsibilities What you will do: Book and review journal entries. Reconcile, review, and manage cash balances. Prepare and review quarterly financial statements, investor capital account statements, and supporting workpapers. Prepare and send capital call and distribution notices to investors. Deliver investor communications via our online investor portal. Own processes beginning to end and manage every aspect of your assigned Funds’ operations. Assist with the annual audit by providing supporting documents to our external auditors. Compile and analyze data to be presented to senior management. Ad hoc projects assigned by supervisor. Qualifications We want you on our team because you… A Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 0+ GPA. 2+ years experience in private equity accounting, with public accounting experience a plus. Passed the CPA exam or are actively pursuing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work well independently and within a team atmosphere. Ability to operate effectively with limited supervision and are a self-starter.
