About the Role: Regional West Health Services is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. Under the general direction of the Controller, this role is responsible for general ledger activities, financial statement preparation, audits, and reporting for assigned corporate entities. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the organization’s financial integrity. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required (or equivalent experience) Healthcare financial experience strongly preferred, but not required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred, but not required Responsibilities: * Complete month-end general ledger close and related account reconciliations for assigned corporate entities * Prepare monthly financial statements and accompanying narratives * Prepare tax returns (Form 990s) and other required regulatory filings * Develop year-end workpapers and analyses in preparation for independent audits * Identify internal audit opportunities and, when approved, conduct audits and report findings to leadership * Perform Accounts Payable functions or supervise AP staff as needed * Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for Finance leadership and Medical Center management * Assist in developing financial services relationships with Panhandle Network Hospitals * Actively participate in Finance department meetings * Build strong working relationships across Finance and other departments to support timely and accurate financial reporting * Participate in professional and Medical Center-related activities as appropriate A conditional job offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and background checks.
