We have an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join the team at our Sydney Head office.

Responsibilities

THE OPPORTUNITY - ABOUT THE ROLE

A key hands-on role in our Record to Report team (part of the overall Group Financial Control team), which supports the overall stewardship of the organisation. In this role you will support the delivery of accurate, complete, and timely financial results and analysis, and contribute to building a high performance and collaborative team environment.
The role will require strong stakeholder management skills and a solution mindset to support continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Oversee the Stockland extended team in preparation of accurate, complete and timely accounting results for the Investment Management Asset portfolios.
  • Responsible for ownership and delivery of monthly, half-year, and year-end financial results on behalf of Investment Management including accruals, journals entries, management reports, cashflows and balance sheet reconciliations and Capex.
  • Responsible for performing second level review of the month end activities performed by the extended team.
  • Responsible for accuracy of monthly result to include profit and loss and balance sheet review, variance analysis.
  • Support Centre Managers, Asset Managers, Community Managers, Admin Managers and Marketing Managers to deliver a high-quality service to Stockland customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare monthly, half year and full year regulatory requirements for submission to teams such as Tax and Statutory Reporting (BAS, STI) as required.
  • Manage the year end audit process as relevant for Investment Management.
  • Responsible for the delivery of Annual Outgoings Statements, involved in the audit of Outgoings Statements and preparation of Annual Outgoings Estimates.
