Rebel Convenience Stores is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our corporate team in Upland, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing retail organization with a strong presence across multiple states.

What You’ll Do: As our Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial operations. You will be responsible for:

  • Reconciling major general ledger accounts including cash, credit card receivables, clearing accounts, and sales tax payable.
  • Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset ledgers.
  • Handling monthly imports of franchise trial balances and related reporting requirements.
  • Performing reconciliations of fuel and convenience store inventories and preparing margin summaries.
  • Preparing daily journal entries and supporting monthly closing processes.
  • Conducting analysis of P&L accounts to identify and explain variances.
  • Assisting with sales tax filings and preparing schedules for audits.
  • Contributing to process improvements through automation and system integration.
  • Supporting and mentoring new accounting team members.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience with Tier 2 or Tier 3 ERP systems (PDI experience a plus).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of SQL or Python is a bonus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when needed.
